On the basis of water samples at the sites of the multiparameter probes installed by the LHW in the study area, the possibilities of calibrating turbidity signals for the concentration of filterable substances in the water body are to be checked. This part of the sampling program concentrates on 5 sites at the Helme and 1 site at the Kleine Helme (Tab. 1). For this purpose, water samples are taken every 14 days and examined for filterable substances. During sampling, the on-site parameters, water temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, redox potential, oxygen concentration and oxygen saturation are recorded. In addition, the turbidity is determined with a mobile turbidity measuring probe.
In the following chapters W1 through W7, you can view brief synopses of the water sampling locations.
